Almost a disaster
Bradford traffic played against me on the way to the browser centre, arriving at the track with 3 minutes until race start wasn’t ideal. Thankfully after the quickest number pin I’ve ever done I was ready to get on albeit not warmed up.
After a few visits to the 234 race at Tameside I had low hopes but seen as this was 4th only it was a manageable pace. A few goes off the front and lots of wasted energy later, 7 laps to go came around and a solo break occurred, no one reeled it in until 3 laps to go when I went for an attack on the back straight, bringing the group back together. After a bad exit from the last corner I managed to sprint back to the leaders and bag 3rd place on the line. A successful night overall, until a fine came through the door letting us know we went through Bradford’s ulez on the way.
