Centreville’s Ben Stead rode to an excellent 2nd place in the Macclesfield Wheelers Open 25 time trial on Sunday April 13th 2019 on the J2/9 course near Jodrell Bank. Ben averaged a shade under 28mph for 53.41, to winner Alexander Royle’s 52.14 (Manchester Bicycle Club). Centreville’s speedy vet Paul Basson was 33rd in 1.00.10. The women’s race was won by Naomi Wright of Manchester Tri Club in 1.01.25

On 23rd Feb Ben road the Rossendale RC Spoco 11 mile hilly TT from Bolton by Bowland on the L112 course and finished in 6th from 83 finishers with 24.35
On 30th March at the Stretford Wheelers 10 mile TT Ben finished in 7th place on the J/21 course in Cheshire
On 7th April Ben rode the 50 mile Geared Up and CN Cycles road race and has also ridden some early season crits.
